This safety plan has been established to ensure the health and safety of those individuals who use or frequent this facility and the community at large.  It is a plan developed to assure the continuity of this facility through a concerted public relations effort.  Repeated failure to follow these rules may result in suspension or revocation of you membership.

Mandatory Gun Handling rules
1. Never point gun at something you don't want to destroy.
2. Never let the muzzle of your gun sweep yourself or another person at anytime.
3. Keep action open, magazines out, cylinder open and empty and muzzle pointed down range, or holstered or bagged until ready to fire.
4. Never let the muzzle of you gun whether loaded or otherwise sweep past the edges of the side berms or backstop.
5. Keep finger outside of trigger guard until gun is on target and you are ready to fire.
6. Aimed fire only, no "hip" shooting or shooting without using the aiming device on the gun.
7. No handling of weapons while someone is downrange.
8. Call "range hot" before the commencement of firing.
9.Call "range cold" before going down range and make sure the other shooters on the line understand and acknowledge you before proceeding.
10. Know your target and what is beyond it; you are responsible for every round you fire.
11. Be sure that your gun is safe to operate.
12. Know the "manual of arms" for your gun before coming to the range.
13. Use only correct ammunition for your gun.
14. Eye and ear protection is mandatory and required while on the shooting line or in a shooting bay.
15. Never use alcohol or drugs before and while shooting.
16. Obey Range Officer's commands.
17. Be courteous and aware of others fear's of poor gun handling.  If someone asks you not to do something because of the perceived danger, (whether real or false) acknowledge the situation and take steps to help alleviate their anxiety.
18. Firing line must be within the shooting bay perimeter (no further back than 25 yards from impact point.)
19. No ammo allowed near a fiddle table. These tables should be used only for fixing malfunctions. All firearms must be unloaded before proceeding to the fiddle table. If the firearm cannot be unloaded due to the nature of the malfunction, the RSO must call the range cold while the malfunction is dealt with. The firearm should remain in the shooting bay until it can be unloaded.

General Rules
1. It is the member's responsibility and duty to observe and respond to any violations of these rules by others. 
2. Shooting hours are from 9am to Sunset.
3. No Automatic Weapons.
4. Know where others are at all times.  You are responsible for your bullets.
5. Safety standards will be adhered to at all times.
6. No alcoholic beverages on Shooting Range or Club House.
7. This is your club; it is your responsibility to keep it clean.
8. Club is not liable for accidents due to member negligence.  Always keep muzzle pointed at backstop, or bullet trap. Never allow the muzzle to point in any direction whereby and inadvertent discharge would allow the escape of a projectile into an outer area.
9. No non-members except for guests or relatives of a member in good standing.
10. All members and their guests must sign in. Members and Guests must provide the following information: Name, Address, Telephone, Shooting Bay Used. Guests must also provide their Drivers License Number. Guests are allowed three visits per year before they will be asked to join the club. All guests must sign a liability release.

Target Use Rules
Approved Target Types:
1. Paper targets
2. Steel reactive targets in good repair.
3. Steel stationary targets in good repair
4. No ground level targets allowed
5. Maximum height of target is 5 feet to the top edge.
6. Clay pidgins if set in dedicated holders or set on the back stop no higher that 5 feet above ground level.
7. No targets of opportunity: birds, rocks, soda cans etc.

Shooters Responsibilities
1. Bring membership identification to the range.
2. Follow all Range Rules as posted.
3. Obey all verbal instructions of the Range Safety Officer.
4. Declare cease-fire if emergency arises.
5. Declare cease-fire if firearm malfunctions and you cannot clear it without assistance.
6. Ensure the Range is clear before firing.
7. Ensure the Range is SAFE before going down range.
8. Cooperate with the other shooters.
9. Ensure you wear your eye and ear protection while on the Range.
10. Do not handle firearms when people are down range.
11. When not firing, your firearm will be on the bench, unloaded, with the action open, or in an approved bag or holster.
12. The muzzle of the firearm shall always be pointed in a safe direction.
13. Each shot will be an aimed, controlled shot.
14. Parents who bring children are responsible for keeping them under their immediate and direct supervision at all times.

No uncontrolled rapid rate of fire is allowed on any range at any time.

Enforcement
Any observed violation of the rules should be documented on a complaint form, available at the sign in desk. Please follow the instructions provided. Complaints should be mailed to the club, to the address on the complaint form, attention to the President or Secretary. Upon review, the Complainant and the Named Respondent must attend the next Board of Directors meeting to address the complaint.

Willful disregard for club rules and property and/or repeated violations of the rules will result I expulsion from the club.
