______________________________________________________________________________ Tuesday, October 28, 2008 IDPA Saturday at ACC!!!!
I am going to give Benny a well-deserved break and run the IDPA matches at ACC for awhile. Despite the fact everyone thinks I am crazy after just running a very successful state match at ACC, we are going to shoot on Saturday. VERY IMPORTANT CHANGES IN FORMAT: PLEASE READ. The Saturday morning setup concept had merit but it has failed. We have too many dedicated shooters who travel a distance and cannot make it early to help setup. I need those individuals to help with SO duties and I want no one to be excluded because of travel constraints. The agenda for the match will be changed to: Early Setup: Friday afternoon at 4:00 PM Final Setup: Saturday AM at 8:00 AM Registration: Saturday AM at 9:30 AM Shooters Meeting: Saturday AM at 9:45 AM Hammer Down: Saturday at 10:00 AM All times are nominal pending completion of setup and registration. Everyone will be expected to assist with teardown of their final stage unless prior arrangements are discussed with me. In addition, everyone will assist with pasting targets, helping with scoring etc. Match fee = $15 the same as it was 5 years ago when Jim, Bruce, Don and I put this together. Round count - approximately 80, bring all you can carry COF's- 6-8 drawn from the state match and others I need to build an IDPA team for ACC and next years state match. I am going to provide free chili and hot dogs to all who will assist with teardown and can stick around after the match to discuss what we need to do for next year. If you are really interested in IDPA, stick around, give me some feedback and listen to the plans I have for Indiana and ACC. I need help on Friday and Saturday. Please email me if you can help with setup or officiating at the match. Come and shoot with us and have some fun, Jeff Brown Indiana IDPA Area Coordinator posted by Jeff #

______________________________________________________________________________ Sunday, September 28, 2008 Greetings from Benny Dukes, IDPA MATCH DIRECTOR
This is a long announcement so read all of it if you want to attend. We are going to need lots of help with setup on Saturday. Our next IDPA match is scheduled for Saturday, October 4th. We will be having our regular match which will be comprised of 6 COF's with a total round count around 80-90. Bring lots of extras. Some of these COF's are standards to prepare shooters for the upcoming state match on October 25th ACC. In addition, Don Williams will hold the classifier for a limited number of shooters after the match. If you want to become classified, you will need to discuss this with Don before the regular match. The cost for shooting the classifier will be waived for those who do not have a classification and will be shooting the state match (we must have a completed state match application with fees in hand on Saturday). The charge for shooting the classifier otherwise will be $10 above the usual match fee. IMPORTANT: If you cannot make this Saturdays match but want to shoot the state match and are in need of a classification, please contact Jeff Brown, IDPAShooter1@hotmail.com to get classified. State match detail can be found at www.atlantacc.net/ACC_Downloads/IDPA_INState_Championship_2008.pdf Here are the details for Saturdays match. Registration will start at 8:30 AM. At 9:00 AM, registration will cease. We will then set up the COF's. As soon as setup is complete, we will have a shooters meeting and then start the match. Late registrations are not accepted as everyone is expected to help with setup and teardown. The match fee is $15. Exact change is appreciated. Remember ACC is a cold range on match days. That means all firearms should be bagged or holstered and unloaded upon arrival at the range. Firearms may only be handled in designated safe areas or on the line under direction of a safety officer.
